The program offers no-cost testing to patients who are low-income, uninsured, and/or underinsured and who also have rare erosive and blistering diseases, and enables faster diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. Last year, we announced that Quest Diagnostics teamed up with Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) to offer no-cost diagnostic testing services to support Biopsies Save Lives as part of the Quest for Health Equity (Q4HE) initiative. If you have any questions about your drug test, contact your employer.In honor of Rare Disease Day on February 29, we’re highlighting a program dedicated to diagnosing and treating patients in underserved communities in Southern California affected by the rare autoimmune diseases pemphigus and pemphigoid, which can be life-threatening if left untreated. The final drug test result is directly reported to the employer ordering the test. Once the drug test is complete, Quest Diagnostics cannot provide information related to specimen status, drugs screened for in the panel, or the final drug test result.The collector will not note any prescription drugs a donor is taking on the chain of custody form.Additionally, items such as trash receptacles, paper towel holders, under-sink areas or ceiling tiles that appear suitable for concealing contaminants will not be in the restroom. The restroom will not have soap, disinfectants, cleaning agents, or any other possible adulterants present.The toilet tank top may also be taped or secured shut and water sources will be unavailable. The collector will ensure that the water in the toilet or tank has bluing (coloring) agent in it.The collector will ask you to empty your pockets, remove outer garments (e.g., coveralls, jacket, coat, and hat), leave briefcases, purses, and bags behind, and wash your hands.Examples include a driver’s license, passport, or military ID. Consult your employer if payment at a third party site is required.
